Rowling states that she was born on 19 September and she was nearly twelve when she first attended Hogwarts. Hermione was originally intended to have a sister, but the planned sibling did not make an appearance in the first Harry Potter novel and, as Rowling noted, it “seemed too late” to introduce the character after that. Finally, according to Rowling, next to Albus Dumbledore , Hermione is the perfect expository character; because of her encyclopaedic knowledge, she can always be used as a plot dump to explain the Harry Potter universe. She proves just how much she knows by declaring that she memorized all the textbooks by heart and by performing a spell on Harry. She constantly annoys her peers with her knowledge, so Harry and Ron initially consider her arrogant, especially after she criticises Ron’s incantation of the Levitation Charm. She responds to Harry’s wariness of Professor Severus Snape and is also suspicious of him. She reveals to Harry and Ron that she does a lot of research in the library, which helped her defeat the Devil’s Snare and work out the logic of the potions. Rowling said on her website that she resisted her editor’s requests to remove the troll scene, stating “Hermione is so very arrogant and annoying in the early part of Philosopher’s Stone that I really felt it needed something literally huge to bring her together with Harry and Ron. She concocts the Polyjuice Potion needed for the trio to disguise themselves as Draco’s housemates to collect information about the Heir of Slytherin who has reopened the Chamber of Secrets.

Ronald Bilius “Ron” Weasley is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. His first appearance was in the first book of the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as the best friend of Harry Potter and Hermione is a member of the Weasley family, a pure blood family, who reside in “The Burrow” outside Ottery St. Catchpole.
He frequently delights in over-stating his “intellectual superiority” and on forewarning both Batman and the police of his capers by sending them complex clues. With this self-conscious use of a gimmick , Riddler’s crimes are flamboyant and ostentatious. The character is depicted as wearing a domino mask either with a green suit and bowler hat , or a green unitard with question mark prints. A black, green, or purple question mark serves as his visual motif.
The character was also featured in Batman: In both series, he was portrayed as a smooth-talking intellectual who presented genuinely challenging riddles. Personality disorders The Riddler is typically portrayed as a smooth-talking yet quirky character with abnormally high IQ, but later versions temper that with an obsessive-compulsive need to devise and disseminate his riddles and puzzles.
His obsession with displaying his own intelligence is the central trigger of his many personality disorders. These aspects of the character were first introduced in the issue of Batman titled, “The Riddle-less Robberies of the Riddler” in which he tries to refrain from leaving a riddle, but fails. This compulsion has been a recurring theme, as shown in a issue of Gotham Adventures , in which he tries to commit a crime without leaving a riddle, but finds that he cannot help himself: I really didn’t want to leave you any clues.
I really planned never to go back to Arkham Asylum. But I left you a clue anyway.

Last updated Starkid has learned more than just how to make magic in the three years since A Very Potter Musical became an overnight YouTube sensation and spawned an entirely new fandom-within-a-fandom. Oh, yeah, and it also dropped the teaser trailer for its next big project. Long-anticipated by fans of Harry Potter and Starkid, as soon as the video premiered late Friday night, Tumblr exploded in a sea of GIF-sets and emotions. The show also featured a guest appearance from Evanna Lynch, who plays Luna in the Harry Potter films, reprising her role onstage.
That feeling knowing that it was the end. Knowing that you will never again have to anticipate another book and read any new adventures? You were truly saying goodbye to something that was a really big part of your life. You were left with this sort of hollow feeling inside because you knew nothing more was going to fill it up. While Starkid has done other projects, none of them has been as wildly popular as the viral Harry Potter musicals.
Still, not every fan is ready to move on, and for some fans, Harry Potter will always come first—like Tumblr user jtwhiteside: It will never die.
How Well Do You Know Team Starkid?
The character of Ron fits many of the stereotypes expected of the sidekick ; he is often used as comic relief , is loyal to the hero, and lacks much of the talent Harry possesses, at least in terms of magical power; however, he proves his bravery several times, such as playing ‘real wizard’s chess’ in the first book, and entering into the Forbidden Forest with Harry during the second book despite his arachnophobia.
Some of Ron’s qualities serve as foils to Harry. While Harry is an orphan with more gold than he needs, Ron comes from a loving but poor family; many of his possessions are hand-me-downs.

Good video, though; low Generation, excellent video with almost all close-ups. The story sort of unfolds before you in a “let’s-put-on-a-show” way, and in some ways reminds me of Godspell. Not the complete show, but most of Act 1. Love, Maggie Benjamin, Jacqueline B. Great Mimi, Maureen and Joanne. Ramsey ,Andy Senor, Krystal L. Shot from the first row of the Mezzanine on the left side. Slight obstruction from the railing and a cross post at about the location of the stage right payphone, so there are a lot of waist-up shots and tight headshots; Steady, clear and well shot.
Act one starts at the beginning of Mark’s monologue; act two turns into mostly audio only at the end of Finale B although a little of the curtain call can be seen and yes, it does include Joshua dropping the film projector at the beginning of the finale. Act one begins with Tune up 1. Act two ends with the finale though again, just a little bit of curtain call is visible. First minute or so is out of focus, then greatly improves.
However, battery problems in act two so the video ends after “What You Own”. Great clear and great close ups — the colors are wonderful.

Starkid says goodbye to Harry Potter, hello to… Aladdin?
If you have no idea who Starkid are, where have you been for the past five or so years? And they are without a doubt one of the most talented groups of people I have ever come across. These are just some of the very best musical numbers that Starkid has to offer: Jafar is blamed for the socio-economic inequality within the kingdom, as well as pretty much everything else.
The references to Disney are hilarious, particularly when Belle herself makes an appearance. Even though the song is entirely demeaning towards Jafar, its uplifting choral delights and cleverly injected dialogue still leave you beaming at the end of it.
